| Meera Chopra is an actress who is better known as Nila in the Tamil Film Industry. EARLY LIFE Meera Chopra was born in Delhi, India on 8th July 1981. Her parents are Sudesh and Neelam. She has two siblings - Vikram and Timsy. After studying at the Presentation Convent Scholl, New delhi, Chopra went on to get a degree from Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw, Michigan, U.S.A. She worked in an advertising firm in New York for a few years and then worked with NDTV, New Delhi for sometime. Meera proved herself as an actress after getting offers from the South Indian film industry. CAREERDirector S.J.Suryah discovered the actress and changed her name to Nila which means Moon in Tamil.
